C'era una volta in un tempo molto molto lontano, un potente mago di nome Walt Disney: dotato di grande immaginazione e sensibilità, lo stregone aveva l'incredibile potere di infondere nuova vita a personaggi noti nell'immaginario infantile, protagonisti di fiabe istruttive ed edificanti ma spesso inquietanti e poco delicate, a volte troppo per essere raccontate ai bambini senza turbamenti; grande creatore di sogni, lo zio Walt incantava i personaggi e li guidava verso un fantastico viaggio di musiche e colori, amore e amicizia, in un' estenuante lotta fra bene e male destinata a concludersi "happily ever after " .

La prima principessa della storia a essere colpita dalla magia fu Biancaneve, che nel 1937 incantò pubblico e critica, anche i più acerrimi detrattori che l'avevano definita "la follia" di Disney ( considerando l’ostinazione nell’impossibile progetto che lo portò addirittura a ipotecare la sua casa per coprirne i costi  ) .

Gli anni passarono e il creatore di sogni purtroppo morì, ma il suo spirito e il suo nome continuarono a vivere in quelle pellicole d'animazione che hanno plasmato per sempre l'immaginario collettivo di grandi e piccini: sinonimo di genuinità e qualità, i film Disney hanno costruito nel tempo una tradizione e un impero che sembravano inossidabili, forti di un'aspettativa che ogni anno puntualmente ci portava al cinema in attesa di riempirci gli occhi di meraviglie visive e buoni sentimenti.

Un giorno però, qualcosa si è spezzato: altri concorrenti hanno cominciato a farsi strada, proponendo possibili alternative e la creatività di casa Disney, forse provata dai tanti anni di attività e dalle difficoltà di trovare nuove storie, ha iniziato a smarrirsi a rischio di capitolare: l'arrivo della tecnologia digitale come forma prima alternativa, poi praticamente esclusiva per l’animazione, ha fatto guadagnare lustro alla DreamWorks e alla neonata Pixar(che pur essendo divenuta in seguito partner della Disney lavora chiaramente secondo proprie linee ), che combinando le grandi possibilità della computer grafica con potenti sceneggiature hanno lasciato ben poco spazio alla Walt Disney Pictures per trovare il proprio posto negli anni 00'. Quale pellicola avrebbe mai potuto restituire il prestigio perduto? Sembrava quasi impossibile eppure la vittoria è di "tangled"(trasformato semplicemente in "Rapunzel, l’intreccio della torre" per il mercato italiano ) .

Lo so lo so....state pensando che questo blog sia finito abbandonato come tanti altri che ogni tanto pescate nella rete perchè non scrivo più niente da tempo immemorabile?

Tranquilli niente di tutto ciò:semplicemente una bella sessione d'esami che ogni tanto bisogna pur fare , della serie che non ho il tempo di gustarmi un film in santa pace dall'epifania...

Ancora qualche giorno di caffeina e altre droghe e si può ritornare a scrivere in libertà.

Le feste natalizie generano strane creature sul grande schermo : regalandoci un breve se pur fondamentale periodo di evasione prima che l'anno vecchio si chiuda alle nostre spalle e tutto ricominci freneticamente da capo , sono un' occasione unica per una o più visioni cinematografiche da godersi con maggior piacere , scatenando di contro al botteghino una guerra che specialmente in Italia assume strane proporzioni ; fra i tanti spettatori partecipanti , molti preferiscono svuotare la testa con un bel cinepattone più o meno ridanciano , mentre altri che non vogliano affidare i figli alla maschera per potersi vedere in santa pace Christian De Sica o semplicemente per proprio gusto scelgono di partire alla volta di luoghi fuori dal tempo dove nessuno possa trovarli insieme a buoni sentimenti e rassicuranti conclusioni : se appartenete alla seconda categoria " Le cronache di Narnia - il viaggio del veliero " è sicuramente il vostro film delle feste .
