Se dopo un progetto imponente e ambizioso come The Avengers, riprendere le fila dei rispettivi franchise e andare oltre l'esperienza del Crossover sembra meno semplice del previsto persino per gli stessi Supereroi Marvel, per la DC Comics la posta in gioco non avrebbe potuto essere più alta: messa alle strette da  un mercato cinematografico letteralmente fagocitato dalla sua storica rivale e costretta a dire addio alla trilogia del Cavaliere Oscuro di Christopher Nolan, gioiello del cinema supereroistico che ha saputo ridare lustro alla figura di Batman grazie a una rilettura tragica e contemporanea che ha fatto scuola, dopo aver tentato senza successo di aprire la strada a nuovi cinecomic( Green Lantern è stato un fallimento sia in termini di qualità che di incassi) aggrapparsi al mantello rosso di Superman e scommettere sul successo di una delle figure più popolari della mitologia DC era forse l'unica soluzione possibile.

Per plasmare il nuovo volto di un personaggio forse troppo perfetto e invincibile per prendere sulle spalle le incertezze della contemporaneità, non poteva esserci alleanza migliore di quella suggellata fra lo stesso Nolan in veste di autore del soggetto e supervisore, il suo fedelissimo sceneggiatore David S. Goyer e Zack Snyder (ultimamente poco premiato da pubblico e critica ma utilissimo alla causa grazie al lavoro svolto in 300 e Watchmen) dietro la macchina da presa; nonostante l'illustre biglietto da visita del promettente triumvirato, Man of Steel ha però tradito parte delle aspettative rivelandosi un blockbuster spettacolare, apprezzabile e senza dubbio non privo di meriti, ma troppo ipercarico e disorganico per raggiungere davvero l'eccellenza.

La strada del ritorno è quieta e silenziosa, ma tu puoi riuscire ancora a sentirlo: è il fracasso di tavoli e sedie che volano giù dalle finestre, il vento delle bandiere issate sulle barricate per benedire il grido della rivoluzione, il fragore dei cannoni che si abbatte sul sogno di una generazione nata troppo tardi, o forse troppo presto; il cuore di Les Misérables di Tom Hooper continua a battere a lungo dopo la visione, un tamburo che risuona incessante nella testa e ti lascia dentro l'eco delle tantissime voci che animano l'appassionata storia firmata da Victor Hugo.

Storicamente prolifico anche se poco favorito in tempi recenti, per non perdere l'amore del grande schermo il Musical ha lottato strenuamente contro sé stesso fino a dividere i suoi sostenitori, costretti a scegliere fra l'opportunità di abbandonare la grammatica classica per l'ebbrezza della sperimentazione ( Moulin Rouge, Across The Universe) o supportare la forza del canone grazie a una confezione visivamente compiacente ( The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Mamma mia!): privo della gioiosa frenesia di Lurhmann come dello sfarzo dorato di Schumacher il lavoro di adattamento fatto sull'amatissimo musical di Claude-Michel Schönberg, familiarmente conosciuto come Les Mis e da quasi trent'anni in cartellone nel West End, cerca il punto d'incontro definitivo fra le due vie in un prodotto che vuole guardarsi allo specchio con fierezza e difendere la propria identità, trovando un registro che un' estremizzazione eccessiva avrebbe rischiato di soffocare.

L'ultima fatica di Ridley Scott sembrava essere nata sotto una cattiva stella : la volontà di realizzare un prodotto totalmente nuovo rispetto al passato stava conducendo il progetto verso la rovina , arrivando a concepire l'interessante ma difficile soluzione di concentrare la storia su uno sceriffo di Nottingham più positivo e combattuto dal proprio dovere contro un Robin Hood più fuorilegge che eroe entrambi impersonati da Russell Crowe come due facce della stessa medaglia ; ma,le difficoltà logistiche e produttive,una prima sceneggiatura giudicata deludente e contrasti fra gli attori che hanno visto Sienna Miller lasciare Lady Marian , fermarono la lavorazione ancora prima di iniziare e portarono a un reboot dell'inter a operazione,che avrebbe visto nuovamente Robin come protagonista ma secondo una chiave di lettura che si annunciava innovativa rispetto a ogni altro predecessore . Quando ormai credevamo fosse un utopia,ecco il nuovo Robin hood approdare sul grande schermo.è riuscito ad appagare l'attesa infinita del pubblico?è stato capace pur confrontandosi con la pesante eredità di un personaggio che appartiene al cinema dai tempi del muto di restituire nuova vita al mito ? Da parte mia,non posso che rispondere affermativamente .
