Sherlock 3x01: The Empty Hearse

"Oh Please, Killing me, That's so Two Years Ago."

Nel giro di 2 interminabili anni di iato, Sherlock ha attraversato la linea che separa uno show di successo da un vero e proprio fenomeno mondiale: scritto da Mark Gatiss, il primo episodio della terza serie The Empty Hearse riesce comunque a non soccombere sotto il peso delle aspettative sfruttandolo piuttosto a suo vantaggio, per chiamare in causa proprio gli stessi spettatori che hanno regalato alla serie fama e fortuna.

Sherlock, la terza serie finalmente in onda sulla BBC

Quale miglior modo di iniziare il nuovo anno di mettersi comodi sul divano per gustarsi in tranquillità la propria serie preferita? La BBC sembra non avere alcun dubbio in merito alla solidità del suo palinsesto delle feste, ma dato che ad aprire il 2014 sarà proprio la terza serie di Sherlock, attesissimo cult che vedrà Benedict Cumberbatch e Martin Freeman ritornare nei rispettivi panni di Sherlock Holmes e John Watson, possiamo ben comprendere l' assoluta fiducia del Canale nell'affetto e della dedizione del pubblico.

"I moved my head to look at the cabinet behind me. When I turned again, Sherlock Holmes was standing smiling at me across my study table. I rose to my feet, stared at him for some seconds in utter amazement, and then it appears that I must have fainted for the first and the last time in my life. "I am all right, but indeed, Holmes, I can hardly believe my eyes. Good heavens! to think that you -- you of all men -- should be standing in my study." Again I gripped him by the sleeve, and felt the thin, sinewy arm beneath it. "Well, you're not a spirit anyhow," said I. "My dear chap, I'm overjoyed to see you. Sit down, and tell me how you came alive out of that dreadful chasm."
