The little Mermaid

"La Sirenetta" (the little mermaid) non è solo il ventottesimo classico Disney secondo il canone ufficiale, ma soprattutto il lungometraggio che ha segnato l'inizio di un decennio, fortunato e proficuo, per la Casa di Topolino; dopo i disastrosi incassi del sottovalutato "la bella addormentata nel bosco" che nel lontano 1959 avevano quasi portando lo Zio Walt e la sua azienda sull'orlo della bancarotta, nonostante siano sempre stati prodotti nuovi lavori senza interruzione fu unanime la decisione di mettere da parte a data da destinarsi il mondo delle fiabe, tradizionalmente inteso, per puntare su  progetti alternativi meno sofisticati ma comunque incantevoli e pregevolissimi, non riuscendo però mai a riprendersi del tutto con grandi incassi dallo schiaffo ricevuto.
